I think that the Enlightenment is the best set of principles we have come up with so far, and it's taken us thousands of years of civilisation to get here. Reason and logic over emotion, individual liberty, representative government, and tolerance. These are the values of Western civilisation that have made us so wildly successful. The forces now threatening the West, from the lefty gender freaks to the immigrant head choppers, are all fundamentally anti-Enlightenment.
