there is a very important difference between not being *willing* to discuss something, and *not discussing* it
you demonstrate being actively unwilling to discuss something the moment someone probes you about it and you refuse to engage, and that is wrong simply because it's fundamentally *dogmatic*, it doesn't allow the other party to thoroughly challenge you
if you never discuss something because no one else ever brings it up either, that's perfectly fine, you don't have to be an evangelist for everything you believe (and you probably shouldn't)
