Sometimes it’s based on personal experience and sometimes characters just come into my head and they are written into song… I don’t question it much, just do whatever the muse tells me.
But yes I think sometimes they are based on real people but they become more fantastical through the story. I’ve always loved theatre so I guess it’s also an escape for the mind I have always channeled everything through music
