Actually, maybe I do. I used to work as a "futurist" at Large Global Company. I was a board member of a national transhumanist chapter. I went to the Singularity Summit conferences at the turn of the '10s and I've had many long discussions with names that are sometimes mentioned in contexts like "long now" etc.
It's been rather fascinating to follow how some of the people I know from back then (I'm neither of all the things I mentioned above nowadays) have gone full doomism, since what I recall were rather all very positive outlooks on how technological development were rapidly solving problems facing humanity.
With that said, I do not recognize the "AI is an existential risk ... so we mustn't regulate it" part. On the contrary, those I know who believe AI to be that (I don't) they're very much so propagating for some authoritarian global control entity that would enforce limits on AI development.
I think that's futile though. Maybe that's the answer? We cannot (without the most horribly authoritarian global rule imaginable) limit development so any risk management must be based on it existing.
