and by 1925 most of these same characters increasingly moving out to Brooklyn, Bronx, etc. along with general population trends.
But, I would say if I look in the 1922 AFM local 802 directory (the earliest I have scanned) and come across a Jewish name with the address right around this strip, it's almost always a known-to-me figure in the klezmer world and not some classical or other immigrant Jewish musician.
