I wouldn't necessarily categorize these influencers as intentionally being misleading. I definitely will argue, and believe, that unknowingly, they have fallen victim to the fiat incentives wrapped in bitcoin language. Their bitcoin media companies all work and operate with the same incentives and structures as fiat media companies ( they still end up click bating you and getting sponsors that they cannot criticize). People think that by just creating bitcoin content they are magically unaffected by fiat incentives, and that is wrong as we are clearly seeing it come to light in this cycle. Bitcoin gives you the tool for you to have the time and space to start moving away from the fiat incentive structure. But it is a choice that has to be made and the gains cannot be measured in fiat terms anymore (algo dominance, conference access, etc.). We need to re-discover what is success and how it is measured outside the fiat incentive structure.
