Just updated and re uploaded my review for Ava DuVernay’s documentary 13th and it reminded me how angry it made me at the time at the state of race relations in the US. Can’t imagine it’s any better these days. I’m now furious all over again and can’t concentrate on writing any more.
If you haven’t seen it, it’s available in full on YouTube right now. A word of warning: it’s extremely triggering and has some disturbing imagery but if it doesn’t make you furious then you’re part of the problem.
