MAKE RUNNING NODES GREAT AGAIN
Been building a Nostr / NWC based wallet for my kids and the state of NWC is degrading over time.
We have services running in web browsers and background apps that shut in iOS and alike. This is architecturally poor, leading to a bad user experience with services saying they are NWC compatible when they're not.
My guess is currently most people aren't using NWC and are using custodial solutions, because if they were, you know.how broken it all is.
Running an always on node is the way to do, and phones just aren't there yet. If we want people to be free to transact and have things working, we need to simply make running a node easier and supporting projects like LNbits (nprofile…jxyh)
and Alby (nprofile…5jyy) that leverage NWC on top of your node is how we get there.
Paired with local AI, keeping a node (incl. a Lightning Node) should be getting much easier with "self-healing" abilities.
We need to change the direction we are heading.
Maybe I'm screaming into a void, as no-one is anyone actually using NWC?
