Listening more to this episode, I suppose I should point out why I said it'd make sense to be familiar with Jeff first. He's got a little bit of the Richard Stallman school of semantic usage going on. You guys could have really cool conversations. Or, you could spend an hour arguing about what inflation is defined as.
Sometimes his hair splitting makes a ton of sense. Sometimes, less so. In either case though semantic arguments are boring content (even if people did love his debate with Lyn on What Bitcoin Did back when Peter ran the show when they debated whether QE is actually money printing).
