You carry the map, you post comments around water sources or (snow) conditions. You pass someone opposite direction l. You sync up your local relay + blossom.
That person then carries that over to everyone walking behind you that otherwise would've never known recent conditions.
The fact this is now feasible is still mind-blowing to me!

A user creates his own map from the bounds of an existing FeatureCollection dataset and uses it as his base map (BYOB [Bring Your Own #blossom is coming soon...]):
