I don’t get the idea of the #EV “pay per mile” tax being proposed in the UK. The rationale is that EV drivers won’t pay the fuel tax duty, because they don’t buy fuel. But EV don’t run on pranic energy, they run on electricity which is… already heavily taxed, just like fuel.
