That is sadly the truth.
In my own case, I've lived in "woke paradise" ,that is Sweden, and I solved the problem by simply moving away to eastern europe which is way, waaaaay more conservative than western europe. Overall, a very successful move and quite happy with everything except the real estate quality and market.
