No we shouldn't overlook murder, but blaming the tools is stupid. car accidents are more deadly, but would't ban cars.
When somebody's convicted of murder they should be PUBLICLY executed within 30 days and all their assets siezed and given to victims families.
The process drags out for eons which totally obliterates any deterring effects.
We also need to have harsher penalties for violent crime (and less harsh for non violent) and better stand your ground laws.
