My tinfoil theory on the current disaster, which I find to be quite plausible, as there are plenty of screenshots circulating around that nvk KNEW about the bug and didn't do anything about it. More so, he blocked people that reported this years ago. So, the theory goes, that this was planned by either nvk himself, or more likely, someone who controls him.
Its main purposes: scare people away from self-custody and steal a lot of bitcoin, naturally. But not necessarily to keep for themselves. Simply taking it from bitcoiners was the plan.
The timing: Right when the core vs knots battle is peaking and a week before the bip, he unleashes this chaos and steers away attention from it.
The forces of evil are as evil as they are genius, these fuckers always know how to hit a whole swarm of flies with one swat, and they time it perfectly.
We know nvk has been shitting on knots and the bip, calling it unsafe and whatnot. It's clear by now that it's not unlike him to pull something like this.
If anyone reading this is still in support of core, please consider what I'm saying. This dude is on Core's side, *many* bad actors are. I honestly know no trustworthy "famous" bitcoiners who are openly FOR core and AGAINST knots. There's few who are neutral. Luke is an incredibly eccentric person and I disagree with many things he says, I think everybody does, even mechanic lol.
I'm not asking you to run knots or the bip, I'm asking you, in the light and darkness of the current event, to consider if you're on the right side, with all the bad actors being exposed which just all happen to be openly on Core's side and against Knots. Thank you.
