I was trying to sell somebody on Mastodon and they were unconvinced said, “I don’t know, I just hate all the ads on social media.” I blinked for a second, “Oh, well, yeah, there aren’t any ads on Mastodon.” and they immediately grew more interested. I forget how nice that is, and that it would be a major selling point.
