H2 tanks cost 7$/kWh

Sodium batteries are predicted to hit 20$/kWh
New higher density sodium batteries might be expected to hit 14$/kWh

So it's very unlikely that batteries will remain more expensive than tanks for another decade - and that's why nobody is investing seriously in H2 technology.

It's pretty much either battery, or diesel (and wait for battery to improve)
