Pup update. We have been doing short morning beach walks to get her used to the sights, sounds and smells. There are a lot of folks walking their dogs on this particular beach. We have been selectively introducing her to other dogs we know on the beach as part of her socialisation. It’s worked well so far. I noticed an interesting focus this morning, she picked out a single set of dog tracks in the sand and followed it intently for nearly a minute. She went from print to print and wove up and down the shoreline tracking it. There were half a dozen other dogs in the vicinity but she was glued to just one set of tracks. It was really neat to watch. I am now wondering how I can help her hone this trait. I am not a hunter and I don’t live close to bush that allows dogs. Also no truffles on the property either 🤣 Anyway, she has a 12 week vet appointment this morning for final shots and a check up. #dogstr #puppy
