South Korea's FIU is strengthening AML rules for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs). The Travel Rule will now apply to ALL transaction amounts, not just those over 1M KRW, with recipient VASPs needing to retain info. Transactions over 10M KRW must be reported as suspicious, regardless of risk. This follows hefty fines on Upbit (35.2B KRW), Korbit (2.73B KRW), & Bithumb (36.8B KRW) for AML violations.
