Yes, I was not pretending this was an easy choice; as I say I was led by my father, someone who fought, survived & for the rest of their life (often quietly) suffered from remorse & regret for what he had been part of.... I have no direct experience of war or the forces so took my cue from someone (my father) I knew well & trusted;
