#Folklore, sure, everywhere. But in the 1400s there isn't a whisper left of paganism in Europe. What gets called "relics of paganism" in the 1800s is basically relics of Popery. The modern witchcraft revival is similar to Freemasonry, claiming a fictitious continuity of early beliefs.
