They *do* have a bare minimum duty of care that if you are *known* to have a pattern of such behavior.
(Although that begs the question of why no rehabilitation or other measures (containment at worst) have been undertaken that lead to them having to be the ones to handle the situation.
They shouldn't be the ones to have to take care of the situation and that it's them means something already failed catastrophically.)
