i like this thought a lot but i have to add that fiat is or any materialistic thing is an outer world entity while craving comes from the inside, so i dont think from a buddhist viewpoint we can say that fiat causes craving, it is on every individual to let ego oriented stuff go whatever happens around them, if we use bitcoin people are still going to be greedy bitches but this time for another currency
