The sorts of things I read have rotted my story building capabilities, so I find it quite difficult to write J&C's story linearly. It's tempting to just think up isolated slice of life scenes. The first draft had them meeting at a diner, second draft had J being pushed out of a plane and meeting C at his middle of the forest hermit shack...
