went to a bunch of “crypto” side events around consensus. It’s such a bizarro world. All everyone is building is private, centralized apis on top of systems that are barely decentralized.
It’s all a bunch of nonsense busywork.
Another funny moment was at an “agentic+crypto” summit where everyone was talking about how one of the biggest challenges with agentic commerce is identity and reputation (nostr anyone?). They were proposing complex ethereum based solutions.
I swear everyone in this space has lost their minds. I do find it entertaining to infiltrate these spaces for the pure entertainment value and to see how far gone they all are.
