Back in the 90s it used to be common to see pickups just driving around with the tailgate down because of the myth that it improved fuel economy. Mythbusters proved it doesn't and it just faded away.
Flock cameras have me thinking about bringing it back.
You could be hassled for hiding your plate I suppose. That could be mostly solved by driving around with an emotional support 2x4 longer than your bed strapped in as a reason for the open tailgate.
Any thoughts on this plan from the hive mind?
