I'm sorry, I am one of those nerds.
The reason why I sometimes request the content warning is because I'm _not_ American. The constant deluge of American-Politicians-Do-Something-Awful-Again is frustrating since I can't effect the politics of another continent.
Having said that, I won't be doing that again; your post has convinced me. I'll just avoid social media and touch grass as the kids say.
