I still like to believe we are probably one of the most open instances.
We've got almost 3 years federating with the same ip so on this part of fedi our tl is very open. we see a lot of shit. lol.
I'm just lucky the users generally don't make a fuss and pick and choose their battles and quietly federate with their friends
