I'm fairly certain my fascination in being a toddler (which makes me a baby) has something to do with ASD. I'm almost certain my very early interests in diapers and "things made for kids slightly younger than myself" as a literal 5 year old was my first "special interest".
I know this is a bit of heavier reply to a cute post but it made me think about the weird relationship between my earliest special interests being both incredibly twee and incredibly complex (technology, computers) at the same time concurrently. I was horribly embarrassed to outwardly express tweeness though, to the point where I was effectively repressing a lot of feelings that would make me seem less... smart, intelligent, mature for positive reinforcement.
I dunno, I think I've always been a pastel dreamer that was too concerned about being a big kid in a grey world 😦
