Yes, both segwit and taproot created two chains. If I ran pre-segwit version and tried to spend a segwit output without a witness, which is valid, all the segwit nodes would say it was invalid. With miner support, There would be two chains. That's why they need 95% support it would be VERY obvious after people start spending coins with no witness data. Both segwit and taproot create outputs that ANYONE can spend. The witness is the only validation constraint and legacy nodes don't even know witness data exists.

Flag days set at any block would be considered "rushing" by that metric. Why signal for something if you don't need to? This is a like a mix between normalcy bias and circular reasoning. If this hasn't been signaled for, it won't get signalled for.

Again, I don't think BIP110 is good or bad, it's fine. But the incredible amount of deception in this pod by Mike is crazy. "Satoshi used an inscription" like, c'mon dude that's literally not true because inscriptions weren't possible until Taproot. The newspaper headline is a pszTimestamp. NOT an inscription.
