we have some issue where something is rotting them off at the base... I worry it could be a pathogen that may spread. I hope it is mainly due to the conditions and that the worst has been done, but we may lose at least a couple more. This photo is an example.

I am going to start striking some side shoots in pots as a last desperate measure for replacements if needed. I also have one that is similar to the one shown but is clearly trying to grow roots above the brown area, so considering trying to put a colar on that and filling with compost.
