How odd that it's ridiculous that I believe in millenia-old collection of short stories told by various authors and yet I'm asked to believe in a random assortment of utterances told by modern authors.

If it's the disagreeable and esoteric ramblings that I should discard, I'd agree with you, but it's no different than the inane ramblings of modern politicians and demagogues.
