Kentucky Superstitions by Daniel & Lucy Thomas is a great beginning resource for anyone looking into Kentucky folk magic. It's filled with with old workings & remedies & when they could, they listed where the practice came from (which part of KY, if it was from the Indigenous tribes or enslaved Africans or freed Africans). But there's a lot there that isn't separated.
Jake has made the line that AFM is a closed practice. I disagree.
