Be warned, it’s a rant.
We spent billions of dollars on Artificial Intelligence, and yet we spent no effort to use it in any better way than a fucking chat box. What are we in 90s with ICQ and a fucking AOL Messenger? No wonder nobody from the real world finds any life changing usefulness from it. Chat? Is that what we need, a fucking glorified search engine, grow in steroids? Where is all the research and funding for the actual applications to the actual problems? All we do is build more data centers, fill up execs’ bank accounts, and reap the regular Joes and Janes.
Sure there are few video, audio and pictures applications that are slowly developing, yet LLMs are all the hype and chat is the product.
