Agree, I've got FreeBSD running Plasma with very few issues, just little paper cut things here and there where things are not configured out of the box as expected.
The only thing that really annoys is not having a proper smb client to mount cifs shares in the fstab. It's not the end of the world, could run nfs on the nas, but I don't wanna. Ha. Otherwise there is not really a a show stopper to using FreeBSD on the desktop in my case.
It's disappointing that all these operating system teams are afraid to make a statement one way or the other due to a fear of "missing out" or whatever it is that is stopping them one way or the other.
That shows a lack of organization in the lesser case and a lack of character in the greater case, IMO.
