Okay, some full-text search indexes are still building, but the **canonical wiki and publication data** from Wikipedia, Open Library, and Project Gutenberg should be online again, have correct and complete tags, and be easy to filter.
The dataset is on wss://mercury-relay.imwald.eu/relay/ and available over the REST API on https://mercury-relay.imwald.eu/
I updated https://jumble.imwald.eu/library to take advantage of the new filters. Performance is much better, now. I'll keep juicing that up, and then I'll move the update onto an #Alexandria web client rework.
It's taken months to get to this point, but we made it.

I'm currently completely republishing all of the:
* Project Gutenberg books (kind 30040 publications with 30041 sections),
* Open Library cards (kind 30040 with no sections),
* and Wikipedia pages (kind 30818 Asciidoc).
Already spot-tested and the new tags and tables give relays much better performance. The Mercury relay will be offline for a few more hours due to the import and reindexing, but then it should be zoom, zoom, zoom.
TheCitadel relay is also uploading them, and some other relays, and I will be broadcasting.
Took me forever to get the parsers right and setup a monthly pipeline to deliver the deltas from the canonical dumps. If monthly goes smoothly, I can switch to weely.

* `created_at` time stamps will be staggered
* `source` will become `s`
* wiki and publication events will gain an `i` tag, analog to open library
* publication sections will gain a `T` tag
* subtititles / original titles will be in an additional `T` tag.
* indexes will be revamped
* Imwald and Mercury clients will be updated

It builds better than I can and it verifies better than I can, but I am still the main validator. There's maybe too much space between what I want it to finally do, as a feature, and how exactly I can describe it. Always end up with a bit of ping-pong, at the end, that I don't have with human devs because they share some intuitive understanding of what I would expect.

I already support bunker, but my app is specialized in flaky Internet connections, so what I need to do is add queued signing to the queued publishing, since the signers are all online. Shouldn't be too bad.

They did it so that they could read the messages on their server. I have always assumed that they work for Russia or France, or something, as it just reeks of something a nation-state would like.
Telegram is encrypted to-and-from their server, but not E2E. Even the explicit E2E secret chats aren't TLS, they use their own weird protocol.
No, this has not been improved. Signal or other MLS-style messengers are much better.

I know a German guy selling DIY hardware wallets with exchangeable cards. The keys are on the card, so you can switch out the cards and use one appliance for different people. I think. 🤔

I also have a Ledger Nano S. I just never touch it. Was thinking of adding a BitBox or a Trezor to my collection and stacking onto there, in the future. I don't know. I'm a bit sceptical. Tempted to just use Electrum on a cheap, wiped Linux machine.
Of course, I don't have much Bitcoin. That's my smallest asset. Was hoping it would rise in price and become the biggest.

My main problem with hardware wallets is the social risk. If you order one, everyone knows you have put crypto on it. An old laptop, tablet, or cell phone is just an old, general-purpose computer. Biggest risk is that someone throws it away.

What are these "best practices" you speak of?
Like, paper wallets are looking sorta good, at the moment. And, like, Lightning nodes, like Alby or Electrum. They usually have good Bitcoin wallets.
I dunno. I think we need to put everything under review, again, as there was too much discounting of things like hardware and firmware quality.
