This goes to the question of where does political legitimacy come from.
We have had a potent founding myth based on our understanding of Rome, which has united the people (Whites) who admire Rome at its height.
We had a unified culture, where everyone understood the boundaries of acceptable behavior. Governance was never easy, but it was possible.
Now we don’t have those things. Our founding myths are no longer sufficient to bind us together.
The very regime (the Constitution) which describes and circumscribes our government is insufficient for purpose.
And so the trappings of myth and constraints of that regime will by necessity be brushed aside.
The true nature of any government is the ability to maintain a monopoly on the lawful exercise of deadly force.
Legitimacy comes from the barrel of a gun.
Voting has lost most of its persuasive and cohesive power. In 30 years, people won’t even want to vote anymore because it will seem like a quaint relic of a distant past.

Why Older Men Take the Weather Seriously:
Here are some of the main threads that seem to show up again and again.
1. Mastery without stakes
Weather is complex, but not morally fraught. You can analyze fronts, pressure systems, and probabilities without anyone getting hurt if you are wrong. For people who have spent a lifetime making decisions with consequences, that is soothing.
2. Pattern recognition as identity
Many older men came of age in cultures that rewarded technical literacy, systems thinking, and practical knowledge. Tracking weather lets them keep exercising that muscle. “I can tell a nor’easter when I see one” is a way of saying “I still know how things work.”
3. Control adjacent to helplessness
You cannot change the weather, but you can understand it. That distinction matters. As physical strength, professional authority, or social centrality decline, comprehension becomes a stand‑in for control.
4. Social permission to care

I come to the question with a bias towards concluding that Einstein is a fraud and a plagiarist.
But I am, frankly, unimpressed by the clip - although I am grateful to you for making it and sharing it with me. There are many ad hominems and some squishy language in it. The evidence also seems to be consistent with a theory that Einstein built upon the work of great White scientists, rather than stealing their work.
Of course, without going through the rigorous math, it would be very difficult for the presenters to show what, if anything, is wrong with Einstein. So even though I judge this to be a weak effort at debunking him, I don't hold it against them. And I certainly, certainly do not hold it against you. I am very glad you shared this with me.
