money can buy, take over or influence JUST mastodon.social and a lot of ActivityPub universe will be compromised. The juice is not worth the squeeze (yet) for "money". If Activity Pub was more federated, then this could not happen.
Stats from fediverse observer for may: 1M active users, of which 290k are on mastodon.social, not great, but better than I expected (I expected >>50%).

Can you expand on HOA? (to uninitiated it means HomeOwners Association).
Since you note there is confusion on meaning of blocklist and relation of them to HOA, can you clarify? - you only highlighted that there IS confusion, but didn't actually help resolve it.

I love PICO8, such a great nostalgic (pseudo)platform to dev for. I highly recommend getting one of the portable emu gaming systems and installing PICO8 runtime on it.

that is a great car, they don't make them like that anymore!!
I used PLA for now. Stremgth wise, given alignment with loads in tension, it will be impossible to fail it purely mechanically.
Summer heat will be its undoing. I plan to reprint in ABS when it fails.

Our family car has a roll-up trunk cover which protects its contents from prying eyes. The sliding mechanism relies on two pins, protruding from brackets in the cover, to slide forward and backward within the trunk.
Recently one of the pins broke and I replaced it with a 3d printed part.

I don't know, maybe the big servers have ominous "HOA" codes of conduct, but I see so much "out there" stuff on fediverse and there are so many other servers, that I barely notice (and I filter most of disagreeable stuff anyways).
I imagine first few weeks until new folks learn to opt-in + filter-out content for themselves can be pretty rough if they are used to being force fed semi acceptable content.

tried meshtastic solar RAK node 25ft up with 8dBi omni for a couple months. The mesh is not mature enough. Neat exercise, but line-of-sight and only 100mW so even foliage will attenuate it sufficiently to be spotty.
