Thank you. I initially thought about nip15, but I'm not using it. Customers initiate the buy, and they can buy vouchers of any amount. It's simpler.
Merchant discovery is important, yes, but I've not put enough thought into it yet.

I'm building a decentralised self-custodial NIP-60 wallet, but for vouchers. The app lets customers purchase vouchers directly from merchants, share them p2p with others, and redeem them with the issuing merchant in exchange for goods and services.
I am looking for casual testers, and more importantly, honest feedback. The app is still buggy at places but the core functionality should work, and I think it's the perfect time to get some external input.

I also maintain an AGENTS dot md and CLAUDE dot md (referencing the former), where I layout all the guidelines to follow when writing code: clean code, and clean architecture recommendations, coding style, documentation framework, semantic versioning, PR template etc. It's a work in process that I try to refine and improve with time.

Here's a demo of a decentralised digital voucher system (still WIP) leveraging the Cashu and Nostr open protocols to issue, verify, send, and receive digital vouchers (gift cards).
I started this project with the goal of giving anyone with a Nostr key pair the ability to create and sell vouchers to their customers, for whatever currency they choose.
The voucher is serialised metadata, digitally signed and stored in a Cashu token envelope. It's issued with a negligible sat amount (e.g., 10 sat) paid by the merchant and stored in a NIP-60 compliant wallet.
In the short demo, I play the role of a customer buying a 10k FCFA (fiat) voucher from an existing merchant, and sending 6k to someone else's wallet. The merchant receives the 10k payment (in this case, the sat equivalent) and automatically issues the token (the voucher).
I envision many more use cases to emerge.

The problem is, if you don't already have a channel, you're stuck.
Mutiny is automatically transferring all on-chain transactions to the federation, not to the wallet on-chain address. Is it supposed to work that way? This has happened to me twice already.
I now have ~500k stuck in the freedom one federation, and I cannot create a channel because my on-chain balance is too low.
Also, your recent patch doesn't seem to work when you select the option to send to another wallet. The confirm send button is muted and doesn't do anything.

Nip44 was the first step at getting us away from nip04, with better crypto algos, and nip17 finally solved the metadata leakage issue that plagued nip04, and made it unsuitable for DMs (privacy concerns)
