even if you are using Bitcoin as your savings account, you are still having to deal with a bank if you ever have to sell some for USD to pay for something - Bank deposit from exchange. Then you face the same questions when you withdraw it. Is there a better way?

If you think it's stressful waiting that 10 minutes when you send BTC to make sure it arrives correctly, to confirm, try rolling over a 401k.
Old company processes liquidation, cuts a check, drops check in mail, USPS drives it across the country, federal holiday casuing additional delay, then hopefully have it deposited into your new IRA accoun.

I work in the IT department at an expensive US University. I was working in an economics professor's office and asked him what he thought about Bitcoin.... He said he did not like it.
He said it's too volatile and is backed by nothing...also did not have confidence in the hard cap.
Did not believe that the US would ever give up their world currency status
Interesting chat but became clear how little he actually knew about it that was fact based...a Professor of Economics
