Those are common day lilies (lilium bulbiferum) aka ditch lilies which grow from bulbous roots and very invasive.
Tiger lilies ( lilium lancifolium) look like this and grow from bulbs.

I went for a short walk today. On my last block, I finally saw the owners of the best yard in the neighborhood. I took the time to tell them how much I enjoy their garden right from spring bulbs to the last of fall's asters. Back when I had my show garden, it was always nice to hear my neighbours tell me they enjoyed my garden too. Makes all the work worth while.

I just saw the fridge I'm getting. It's smaller. I lose a door shelf but the shelves inside are more adjustable than my current 35+ yrs old beast. Guess I'll have to find a new way to store my condiments. Hmmm...

Follow up:
The third sleep I did continue the rib fest but there was some confusion to the fact I was Canadian and a judge but eventually the pretty fella in the white cowboy hat won. Not because he was pretty but because his ribs were perfectly cooked, just saucy enough, and the best flavour.
Yes, now I want ribs.
Too bad I don't have any. :(

I slept for 2 hours, dreaming of being a judge at a Southern rib cook off. Woke up to use the bathroom, went back to bed, and continued the contest once I got to sleep again. Another 1.5 hour of eating ribs.
Oddly, I woke up not hungry but have have one hell of a headache.
I need another coffee ...

I'm 65 and we were dealing with this same alpha male bullshit back in high school (late 1970's) The only difference is that back then there was no Internet to spread their hate. But it was there, in the corners of rooms, in houses known for it, and groups of men that gathered together to bolster their cause and welcome new members. It was there then and it will be there in the future.
But how we deal with them, that's what needs to change.
