I made a start yesterday (Saturday) on the last "out-of-control" bed at my friend's little allotment. Unfortunately, the raspberries had been almost completely choked out by brambles and bindweed. From yesterday proper. My octogenarian neighbour had allowed some potatoes to "go over", but they were fine I thought to use as seed potatoes. Well, this was a new one for me! I'm pretty sure that it's the caterpillar of the Rusty Tussock Moth. I was walking down the lane this lunchtime to take a photo of the notice on the new telephone pole (which, naturally, I forgot to do!) when I spotted this large hawk! 😮 I thought it might be an escapee, as it was wearing anklets. Turns out a local brewery employs it to discourage the gulls 😊 #birdsoftheworld
