Dumb clients, smart relays. That's the Nostr future I want now.
I use amethyst but only 10% of its features. Every other kind 1 client essentially show the same content. I'd be better off with a light client that can display vastly different feeds based on the relay I connect to, or based on various feeds provided by a relay.

My problem with research on conspiracies is that most of it seems to be planted in order to keep the researcher caught in a web of disinformation. On the subject of whether vegetables are poisonous because of pesticides and poor soil quality, positive evidence is mercilessly suppressed and called a conspiracy, and you're back in the previous case.
And in the end, I agree with you. What's the point of the research if it doesn't have any practical use? Once you actually start engineering systems that require you to understand the curvature of the earth, you'll either doublethink the earth is flat anyway or just accept it's a sphere.

My most successful LLM sessions are the ones where I have the least uncertainty about the responses to my prompts. When I pretty much know what the AI will output and am expecting the correct result.
Where I struggle is where I'm leaning too much on the LLM to infer what I want. And it's in that case where gambling becomes a better description of what I'm doing. Thanks for the insights.

I agree that the purpose of Bitcoin was and is to be money. But the point I'm making is that that framing is only useful to a point, and can't explain all of Bitcoin's use cases. There are transactions out there that serve a purpose only known to its sender and receiver, and that may not be monetary in nature to them. Should they be denied access to the chain in that case?
That seems to be the argument made by anti-spammers right now. They're trying to use "Bitcoin is money" as a way to restrict any transaction they deem is not money. That's an abuse of the narrative in my opinion. If I can come up with a non-monetary use case for Bitcoin that follows the node's rules and is acceptable to miners, there's no one that can tell me it's not allowed.
Instead, these folks are trying to make Bitcoin permissioned, where you need the permission from masters who define what "money" is to transact on-chain.
