The red cross used to run this scam where every time any kind of local tragedy happened (, usually a house or apartment fire) a red cross rep would appear on local TV saying that the red cross is best to help and that's why it's so important to donate to the red cross. Locals would open their wallets and donate to the red cross. And then the local victims would get prsctically nothing. When pressed, the red cross would say that they never said donations would go to local victims and that they had to help people everywhere, not just here. They don't do this anymore because everyone caught on. Now, if there is a fire, locals organize and choose a trusted local to handle the money. Donations go directly to victims. The red cross can't steal the money and use it to move illegals into your country.

Yeah I am guessing this billboard is from 1980 or so. The mcdonalds double cheeseburger was my goto in the 00s. It cost $1. I would buy two and skip the fries. The regular cheeseburger was 95c. They eventually introduced the "mcdouble" which was the double cheeseburger with only one slice of cheese, but it kept the $1 price. The pandemic permanently fucked fast food. There's a documentary about this company that's pretty good. They hired a tech CEO and kicked out the founder. Their strategy was a typical tech strategy of increasing their user base as fast as possible even while they were losing money on every user. It was totally unsustainable with no path to profitability. The founder was fired after he suggested increasing the price. People were going to the movies every day. The monthly price barely covered the cost of a single ticket.

But they told her I could double up on math freshman year of high school to catch up with the gifted kids. Three years later I requested to double up on math my freshman year of high school. The problem is that you don't know if there is an allergy if you don't trigger it, either accidentally or with a test. Most peanut allergies are permanent, but some people have lost them. Lots of kids grow out of milk and egg allergies. If you never test and never expose, then you will never know. Blood tests don't involve exposure, but they are even less accurate than skin tests.

Neither skin tests nor blood tests are very accurate for food allergies. Oral challenges are the best, but there is obvious risk in allergen exposure.
My younger daughter is allergic to milk and peanuts. She was also allergic to eggs when she was younger, but has thankfully grown out of that one. We are doing a baked milk oral challenge next month. Last year we did a peanut oral challenge and we unfortunately had to stop it. She rashed up immediately.
We kept peanuts completely out of the house for a while, but we are a little more lax now. We do clean and wash up after using or eating peanuts.

The Very Important Poll is almost over.
Switch 2 halved it's support from the pre-direct poll.
I am buying a switch 2 for two reasons:
1. My launch switch is on its last legs and I have a ton of switch games I would still like to play.
2. Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza look pretty cool.
The price increase sucks, but $60 has been the price point for a new AAA game for 25 years. Everything has gone up in price during that time period. It was only a matter of time before games followed suit.

With tabs, you can set the tab width to be whatever you want in your editor. With spaces, you are stuck with however many spaces the file is already formatted with. I've always liked tabs for this reason, but I've accepted that the two-space indenters have won this war.
