I hear ya.
I've never had to force kill Overcast, but it drove me crazy that I ordered my playlist only got Overcast to reorder it when the next podcast arrived into the app.
I know Marco has written it to reflect his podcast listening pattern, but I don't get how he uses it. :D

I'm living the frustrated lifestyle.
I love Castro's Queue features, but I like how podcasts sound better in Overcast. (And being able to use chapters and skip intro for free)

I've seriously considered dropping it too.

You know, it makes me wonder how some corporations do anything.
Most larger companies I've worked with throw individuals into the swimming pool, expecting them to swim proficiently and even disarm bombs underwater.
The smaller companies tend to give me the background I need to help me succeed.
I wonder if that's out of necessity, or have I just been lucky?

Worse.
I spent several minutes writing an email explaining that I already knew what his AI-generated reply said and that his initial email expected me to have background knowledge that wasn't included.
And then I realized that if he put that little effort into communicating with his colleagues, sending him anything like that would be a waste of time.
So I complained here instead. 🙂

I missed this post when you originally sent it.
I was inspired by the book _The Extended Mind_ by Anne Murphy Paul.
In it she shares research about how much more productive we can be when we have enough screen real estate to have our minds feel a sense of place.
I'm slowly trying to build up to that with two-monitor + laptop setup.

My M1 Air is my favorite computer ever. As long as I didn't need to spin up Docker or edit video, it handled everything like a champ, was so portable, and noiseless. Amazing.
