SoFi (banco digital en EUA) anunció una nueva función de remesas construida con Lightspark. Debajo del capó convierte dólares a bitcoin, enruta el pago por el Lightning Network ⚡️ y liquida en moneda local en las cuentas bancarias de los destinatarios, comenzando con México más adelante en 2025. 👇
SoFi afirma que el costo total estará por debajo del promedio nacional actual, pero aún no ha publicado tarifas exactas.
Como referencia, el Banco Mundial sitúa el corredor EUA→México en un costo total promedio de ~4.98% entre proveedores. Con ~$62.53 mil millones enviados de EE. UU. a México en 2024, eso implica alrededor de $3.11 mil millones pagados en comisiones; cada 0.1% menos ahorraría a las familias unos $62.5 millones.
