i give this soft fork 2 days max before it falls apart. the only thing that really matters here is being extra careful if you try to dump the forked shitcoin after the chain split. if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, you can lose all your real btc. read calle’s post. don’t get greedy chasing a few bucks and end up losing your entire stack. never ever enter your private key anywhere to claim a shitcoin.

the ugly truth is that the 4 yr cycle was created and practiced by the ogs. they tend to think together and act together.
this time though their usual playbook didn’t work. their avg distribution was probably around 80–85k. (yes they sell and buy gradually not all at once). they were likely expecting to buy back much lower somewhere around 20-25k.
that didn’t happen thanks to a much stronger base of long term individual bitcoiners, plus relentless buying from saylor and a growing number of public companies.
of course they’re not happy. thats also why you see so much coordinated hostility toward saylor. he’s disrupting the cycle they’ve benefited from for years.

i just don’t see a bull case for the shitcoin market anymore. my main reason is that there are barely any sane devs left in crypto. during the ftx, blockfi, luna era there was an insane amount of talent flowing into crypto projects. whether it was sustainable or not, money kept pouring in, devs were motivated and things were getting built. today most of that talent is gone. outside of a few large tokens like eth, sol, zec where insiders have massive stakes, i don’t see many legitimate devs working on crypto anymore. and those who work for these larger scams only stay there because they’re more focused on eventually dumping their tokens on retail rather than building products they believe. even if bitcoin enters another major bull market, i’m not convinced these scam coins will automatically follow along like suckerfish attached to bitcoin.

so many companies from insurance to healthcare to massive enterprise software businesses are about to get disrupted by solo founders willing to manage armies of ai agents. one person with the right systems will be able to outperform an entire company. as a result, large companies are going to continue laying off huge numbers of employees over the next decade. there’s really only one way to survive long term. become an entrepreneur and learn how to run your own army of ai agents. in 10 years, most people probably won’t have traditional jobs anymore. it’ll mostly become a giant gig economy where everybody works for themselves.

when you multiply or divide complex numbers, nobody expects you to do it in your head. reaching for a calculator is normal, not lazy and widely accepted. the reason is simple. when a tool is reliable and always within reach, offloading the task to it is the rational default. doing it manually buys you nothing. ai now meets those same conditions for a huge range of tasks. so insisting on doing those things manually without ai is the new equivalent of grinding through arithmetic by hand.

one pattern i always notice is that some plebs especially the early bitcoin crowd, act like they own the whole network. to them bitcoin belongs to them and anyone else especially corporations isn’t welcome. if you buy mstr, ibit, etc.. it’s treated like a sin. they never question whether vanguard even allows them to buy actual bitcoin or move it to cold storage which is obviously not an option. they don’t even consider that this might be the only option for bitcoin exposure inside a 401k. similarly if you’re a corporation buying bitcoin, you’re not welcome either. this behavior is completely wrong. bitcoin is ownerless. whether you got in 2010 or today, you have the same rights and access and claim of ownership as anyone else.

soon ai’s context window and memory limitations will be solved. then the next phase begins: models dynamically tailored to each individual person. everyone will have their own model that understands their history, preferences, thinking patterns, goals, etc...
we’ll live with these personalized models for about a decade. then robotics arrives.
all that memory transfers into physical form. your robots, assistants, helpers and more...
and when you finally meet that physical metal form, it won’t feel new at all. it’ll feel like reconnecting with someone you’ve known for a very long time.

aes-256-gcm encryption via pbkdf2 key derivation from user's password + email salt (100k iterations). encryption key is derived during login/register and stored in localstorage.
all portfolio and settings data is encrypted client side before being sent to the server. server stores opaque enc:v1:<base64> blobs and can't read user data even if the db is compromised.
if this still doesn’t satisfy your privacy requirements, keep everything in your browser’s local storage and use json export/import to manage your assets and settings without touching the server.
