There are quite a few people like this in wealthy, developed countries.
And none of them understand one simple thing: either you __actively resist the state__ - mentally through agorism and practically through the practice of counter-economics, or the state will keep robbing you until you die.
Even when you die, the state will still rob your loved ones, because they'll have to pay for your funeral, and taxes will be levied on that as well.
People in poorer countries understand this better, and they resist more actively and hide their money from the state.
People in richer countries are mentally complacent and wait for a "benevolent state" to come and wipe their asses.
Those who say "Fix the money = fix the world" are as detached from reality as it is possible to be.
They think that by moving to some backwater and living in the jungle to "legally" off-ramp to fiat at 0%, that this is the pinnacle of human freedom.
First and foremost, there must be a strong political backbone, a will to resist by any means necessary.
Second are the tools with which an individual will resist.
Most likely, the person in this video will never read this post, but he can move his small business into the "parallel world" and start to use {today}:
1) Nostr - instead of Facebook / X / Instagram;
2) SimpleX chat - to talk to his clients (instead of WhatsApp / Telegram);
3) Monero, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Liquity (LUSD) - instead of fiat currency;
4) Linux - instead of Windows / MacOS;
5) GrapheneOS - instead of iOS / bloated Android
6) to practice digital hygiene, self-hosting and other digital sovereignty stuff;
And not show the government a single penny of what you earn.
In fact, you could even turn the tables and go collect "benefits from the government" (money that the government has already stolen from other people).
And you don't have to move to a poor tropical country to "live free". You can live wherever you like.
Right now, there are dozens of FOSS tools in the world to circumvent government control, but due to a lack of political backbone and the will to resist, good people continue to be helpless and give their life energy to the government.

А люди/пользователи что? Ну, если кому-то нужно разрешение от государства чтобы пользоваться FOSS - тогда... ну, получите разрешение от государства. Все остальные, кто ментально/политически не куколд - обходят ограничения и пользуются Монеро.

Не знаю насколько вопрос о скупке Биткойна реален, потому что все равно останутся те, кто будет его держать. Все таки, для некоторых это = религия. С другой стороны, если цель "выбить" несколько гоев из игры...
Даже тот же Saylor, который только рассказывает какие мылыоны он вливает в BTC - все равно, никто в глаза не видел адреса кошельком его компании.
Мне интересно увидеть момент, когда большие деньги начнут более сильно влиять на Bitcoin. :)
Более важный вопрос, как Bitcoin будет работать после того как намайнится последний блок. Как правило, Биткойнеры либо:
1) не знают что ответить
2) несут бред в стиле "будет оплачиваться коммиссиями в сети"
3) говорят что ~2147 год не их проблема, потому что они умрут

It seems to me that few people talk about Valve's impressive behavior.
When people say that "Gabe Newell does nothing and still wins", that’s not true.
Valve is a unique company that isn't made up of psychopathic, greedy bastards eager to squeeze every last 0.01 USD out of you.
I've never been a fanboy of any brand, because blind fanaticism has a negative impact on the market.
But what Valve does for free and open-source software + the fact that they make money ethically from hardware = respect.
Just one example — the Steam Deck. A fantastic device. Not locked down. You can do whatever you want with it, customize it, connect any controllers, and so on. And people have appreciated that.
Same goes for the Steam Controller.
Valve could have done what Apple or any other greedy company does to the point of psychopathy: glue the joystick shut, use the most inconvenient screws possible, solder the battery in place, and do 100500 other things to prevent you from maintaining your joystick, forcing you to always buy a new one and have it serviced only by the manufacturer, who would sell you a proprietary screwdriver for $199.90.
But they didn't do that.

While Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other communities try to conform to the rules of the current financial/political system, the Monero community is building a parallel system. Quietly.
When I onboard a new merchant to Monero, I always tell them they don’t need to sell Monero for fiat to buy goods/services; I give them Monerica.com and XMRbazaar.com, explain how they work, and so on.
Even if they do need to buy something with fiat, they can always buy a gift card or find a proxy-buyer on XMRbazaar to whom they’ll give XMR and receive payment for the goods they need.
Yes, it’s a more complicated process. But it’s free from government control.

1) Monero is really easy to use. You just send a transaction and you're done. The UX/UI of Cake Wallet, Unstoppable, or Stack Wallet is very straightforward.
2) You don't have to trust XMRBazaar at all, because they don’t hold your XMR. Trading happens directly between the buyer and the seller.
3) "So little demand" - that was funny to read, considering that no other cryptocurrency has a marketplace like this.

Part of this problem is mental helplessness, especially among crypto people from developed/wealthy countries.
People are so brainwashed by the state that they will happily live in a shithole where they are offered "0% tax", but on the condition that they disclose their crypto to the state.
And they do it.
And then they manage to be surprised why their data is sold by tax mafia employees, and why they are subsequently kidnapped.
