Then, personally, I could move "Mentions" to the first position (on the left), turn off reactions, and keep only mentions, replies, and zaps. That way, even if someone reacts to a post/reply = the notification dot won't appear.
But if I want to check for reactions, I'll just open the "All" tab (which will be to the right of "Mentions"), and the reactions will be displayed there.
Yes, that sounds cool! And it seems to me that everyone will be able to customize the notification dot to their own liking.

Don't you think it would be more convenient if it were done like in Yakihonne? Meaning, if a user disables notifications for reactions, they not only don't see them in the notification menu, but the notification dot (near the bell icon) also doesn't appear, because the user has disabled them and doesn't want to be distracted by the notification dot.
But, at the same time, the user has kept notifications on for replies, mentions, and zaps, so when any of these three events occur = the notification dot appears near the bell icon.

So, you can see my settings in the previous reply. And yes, the tabs are working as intended, when I open the "Mentions" tab = I don't see your reaction, which is correct.
However, I still received the notification about your reaction (a small purple dot). My question is, have you considered adding a feature so that, based on the settings (which you see above), notifications for reactions don't come through at all (because I disabled them), rather than just filtering them by tab as it currently does?

When I start using software that I like, I usually end up annoying people with my UX/UI advice, so...
It would be great to have slightly more precise notification settings, like in the screenshot below (this is Yakihonne):

My reasoning is that reactions and reposts don't matter to me, and I don't want to see a little circle (indicating a new notification) next to the notification icon.
However, I do want to see notifications when I've been tagged somewhere and when someone has replied to me (and zaps).

What pleasantly surprised me is that when I edit a picture using 'Fossify Gallery' on Android and, instead of clicking the "check mark," I click the "Share" icon and send it via KDE Connect, KDE Connect on my laptop shows me the 'Open with Spectacle (Edit)' option as the first choice:

I really like 'Spectacle' (in KDE Plasma) and use it every day.
However, I was missing a simple feature to open an image in edit mode with just two clicks (so I can blur something fast, etc), so I made it.
What was done:
Created ~/.local/share/applications/spectacle-edit.desktop

People are scared, and that is understandable.
Unfortunately, "don't trust, verify" didn't work for several hundred Bitcoins...
As a rule, hardware wallets have always been advertised as "buy -> generate wallet -> send BTC -> forget," and I have never liked this mindset that was promoted by hardware wallet manufacturers. In part, this mindset is also to blame for the fact that people were unable to react quickly enough to withdraw their BTCs sooner.

I've never understood why the Bitcoin community idolized those particular figures.
Over time, the Bitcoin community has been flooded with too many fake gurus and corrupt suitcoiners, who have begun to actively influence the project.
I feel __very sorry__ for the people who lost money because of Coldcard, and I have no right to say something like "I hope their sacrifice will bring about change", but I do hope that this situation will, first and foremost, change the mindset of a portion of the Bitcoin community.

@npub16ux…lra7, In other words, my reasoning is that if we use custom Nostr nodes (which would provide financial incentives for people to run these nodes, while fully understanding and accepting all the risks) - it would be more convenient for the entire Nostr network, which is why, for a person or agent to participate in such a marketplace as a buyer/seller, they would only need to add at least one custom node from that marketplace to their client.

Any government = a psychopath. And a government led by a petty, drug-addicted dictator who stays in power thanks to war (and even profits from it) = a first-class psychopath.
The Cabinet of Ministers has mandated that men aged 18-60 must present a valid military registration document (typically in electronic form) when receiving consular services abroad.
The consul verifies its authenticity in real-time with the registry.
No valid military registration document = no services like: requests for passport issuance, notarizations, etc.
In other words, Ukraine is doing everything it can to make life as difficult as possible for ordinary Ukrainian goyim abroad, and to make it even harder for them to obtain a residence permit, permanent residency, or another passport (which is the worst-case scenario for the Ukrainian state).
If a man is not registered at all, the consul can register him for military service remotely, without a medical board, with the automatic generation of an electronic document.
If a man is not registered for military service at all, the consul can register him remotely, without a military medical examination, and an electronic document will be generated automatically.
Cool-techy-fancy, right?
There’s just one thing I can’t figure out—why are they doing this? Even if a man updates his information, they still won’t be able to forcibly remove him from Europe (at least not yet).

He is partially right.
A cryptographic generator based on hardware noise provides more entropy, is faster, and is free from human errors like biased dice and/or uneven surfaces, etc.
The only scenario where manual entropy saves you is when the hardware RNG is compromised or weak (like the recent Coldcard incident).
In all other attacks firmware substitution, backdoors in the conversion code, side-channel leaks, or malicious signing logic - dice are useless because the device sees the final seed anyway.
To say "a passphrase is useless" is too categorical.
A written passphrase is not "just another seed", but a separate factor: it protects against the physical theft of a seed copy (an attacker with the seed phrase but without the passphrase will end up with an empty wallet) and allows for the use of decoy wallets.
Yes, it must be stored separately, and yes, human-generated passwords have low entropy.
But we have offline password managers like KeePassXC, so, "either memorize it or it's pointless" is a false dichotomy: nothing stops you from generating a decent passphrase using KeePassXC and storing it in a different location than the seed.
If someone says the problem is with the master password for KeePassXC itself, then I don't know what to say to people who can't come up with even one decent password of their head.
The idea of "multi-vendor multi-sig" sounds... interesting.
2-of-3 multisig:
key_1: hardware wallet from vendor A;
key_2: hardware wallet from vendor B;
key_3: either a third hardware wallet, a SeedSigner on an air-gapped device, or a paper backup;
What does this approach entail? -> You need to back up more things.
In addition to 3 seeds, you need to save the wallet descriptor (all three xpub keys, key order and derivation paths).
It is critical specifically when one key is lost. With all 3 seeds the coordinator will restore the wallet even without the descriptor, but with 2 seeds and no descriptor = it's impossible.
A copy of the descriptor is kept with each seed copy.
Its leakage does not steal money, but it does reveal all addresses and balances - it needs to be hidden just as carefully.

I stopped using Spark in favor of a non-custodial LN (with an LSP) + a Cashu/ecash wallet.
Yeah, it's a workaround, but it works.

For example, the fact that if you haven't opened your Monero wallet for a few days, you have to wait for it to sync with a remote node so that the wallet can scan the blockchain with your private-view-key to check if you've received any new transactions.
Or, the fact that if you don't manage your UTXOs, then after you pay for a purchase, you have to wait for 10 confirmations (~20 minutes) until your change is unlocked and you can send XMR again.
After I explain the advantages of Monero to normies (money that is private by default and cannot be blocked by anyone) and then tell them about the two points mentioned above, they usually say that the benefits outweigh these minor inconveniences.
In other words, my point is this... Everything depends on the person onboarding a newcomer to Monero, and with the right onboarding, even normies understand that these minor inconveniences are a tiny price to pay for censorship resistance and privacy by default.
