yeah I read that BBC report too. Sadly it looks like damage limitation, most of the big news rags say that the RNLI 'rescued' the migrants mid-channel (amazing that the French navy couldn't do it before they entered English waters 🤔) and were used as a ferry for the remainder of the journey, before being denied access to Southampton and Portsmouth harbour
Not condoning threats against them, mind but it makes me angry

I went through a phase of 'f*** you' when they began that delay but then I used to listen to The News Quiz and of course everything was out of date by the time I got to it
So that's how they got me 🙄 TBH now the News Quiz is about as funny or witty as HIGNFY so have given up on it, I just listen to a couple of Current Events podcasts on there sometimes
They sometimes do long form stuff, the Eras podcast about Queen and then Phil Collins was interesting

Trying to work out how I get lucky and you don't, I download each episode offline in BBC Sounds 'cos am often in the middle of nowhere, that device isn't on a VPN so they know am in the UK
