@npub17gp…7p4g I have a "recurring live" stream on my peertube instance that automatically saves a vod.
VOD Transcoding is enabled and set to 1080p and audio-only, and "keep a version of the input file" is disabled and "Also transcoe original resolution" is disabled.
Nevertheless after transcoding there's also always a 1440p video file left over that is the source. And when the remote runner is transcoding I see that there's always a job for the 1440p file.
What can I do to stop that?

how was it?
When we played we also used a projector with https://extraboard.net/extracomputer and that helped a lot to keep track of everything.
I think there's now better apps though, if that's something you like to use.

Our first and only game took 10 hours, where everyone prepared for it and learned the rules.

hm, the image compiles nicely, but the code won't get scanned by the briar app. The briar app scans other (non mailbox) codes and warns me that it's not a mailbox code. And other QR code readers can scann the Briar Mailbox code.
But the briar app doesn't scan it and doesn't register it as a code 🥴

Wouldn't it make sense to have a mailbox just as a docker image that can quickly and easily be selfhosted?
I would have server space, but not a spare android device. I could make an android emulator on docker but that seems a bit "workaroundy" when a docker image should be possible on it's own?

Moving away from ProtonMail I looked at several options. Changing email addresses everywhere when I change providers seemed so unflexible, so I've set up a #selfhosted @npub18kn…x57j instance and moved all my aliases there.
Right now my default mailbox points to @npub1tk7…0m5c but changing email providers is just changing the address of the default mailbox in my SL instance!
And I can even use PGP between SL and the mailbox, if there are add-ins or the provider supports it ootb.

I've tried to play GTA V enhanced but it seems like I've linked my #Steam and #Rockstar account at some point, and when I start the game they are sending a verification mail to an old email account that I've deleted 2 years ago.
After days RS support where I've sent all details about my steam account, purchase and the CD key out of steam, they now want to know the exact date when my steam and RS account got linked. And since I can't provide that, they won't let me play the game. #gaming

It can be difficult wanting to start an interaction and get to the second part.
But fellow men: A book on the table can be a good start to get people talking about things they like!
And please get the first hint when someone just doesn't want to interact..

you'll probably get a million comments on that: You can change the used language in your toots, then you don't have to add content warnings and only people that want to see that language (they can select different languages they want to see in the options) will see it.
Some apps don't seem to have that option sadly, so just ignore this if you use one of those.

I think the problem wasn't the public part (which you brought up) and more the tagging part. Tagging and public aren't mutually exclusive.
As someone on the outside of this: I personally would also like that people tag me when they talk about me. But while it would feel weird if someone doesn't do that, it wouldn't ring the same alarm bells as it seems to do for [@_elena](https://mastodon.social/@_elena ) .
But as a woman her experiences here are for sure different than mine.

I thought about this before and also noticed this with co-workers and sometimes myself. I think that this is the same psychological weirdness that causes the "authority" part of the influence pillars: When someone knows something they become the authority and they have to know better, so you ask! Even though you could check it yourself like that person is most likely doing.
When I notice I've been doing this, I'll excuse myself and try again to find my own answers and solutions.

#mastodon maybe someone can help me: I often see toots in my timeline and reply, just to notice afterwards that when I look at the original post that there are already plenty of replies and some exactly the same as mine.
Is there a way to configure my instance so it also pulls replies, latest when I click on a toot?
